The Ontario Minor Hockey Association [OMHA] is proud to announce plans to expand the Respect in Sport program to full integration for the 2014/15 season. The OMHA will move to become a complete ‘Respect in Sport’ integrated association which will include all Team Officials, On-ice Volunteers, On-Ice Officials and at least one parent or guardian of each registered player.The Respect in Sport program is an online certification program designed to protect youth as well as enhance the Ontario Minor Hockey Association’s mandate of providing a safe and fun environment for all participants. We are happy to announce that the vote for amalgamation of the UMHA and UYHA was approved by a vote of 89-2 (98%).
The UYHA/NDGHA approved the amalgamation by a vote of 154-41 (79%).
Thanks to all the committee members for all their hard work and to all the parents that took the time to come out and vote.

First off Happy New Year to everyone. 2014 is going to be another busy year for hockey.
As hopefully everyone knows a special amalgamation vote will be held this Sunday. Details are on this page. I want to take a minute to clarify what is being proposed. The 3 organizations are only looking to become 1 entity to help facilitate hockey for youngsters (girls and boys) in Uxbridge.
1 board with representation from all 3 organizations under one umbrella.
Contrary to a smear campaign which is currently underway the UMHA is not looking to steal ice from anyone. Read More
